Our friend Will once said "The guys in the dorms play basketball every week night. I only see girls out on the weekends. What do they even do during the week?". We all knew the answer, and we all wanted to avoid telling him. Men who don't live with women only see what the women want them to see.  Basically all I'm trying to say is- women are crazy. Especially when under stress. While some women attempt to remedy this with ice cream and chocolate, others take a more ...unique approach.

It usually starts out something like this:
"Ugh. I have so much homework to do! I don't want to do it though..."

Turn on some music, add some sugar, a little sleep deprivation... you get the point.

This is how Fernando came to life. Last week, apt. 58 hosted a gingerbread decorating FHE activity. There was a lot of candy left over, and after eating some of it to fuel our insanity, we let loose. Juli started it by tying two colored twizzlers together, and then I added the head and eyes. As you can see in the below picture, we created our version of a man. After finishing our masterpiece, all we had to do was decide what to do with it. In our ecstacy, we somehow determined that it would be funny to show some boys our artistic rendition. So, we door-bell ditched it. (very junior high... don't judge.) There's something about combining mystery and stupidity that eases the stressed mind. People always say that men like mysterious women, right? I guess it continues to intrigue them just as long as they don't solve the mystery...
